  • Liverpool duo Mohamed Salah and Allison Becker have attracted interest from Saudi Arabia
  • Saudi Arabia Pro League sides have contacted the players ahead of a possible move
  • The Reds do not intend to sell the duo after selling Fabinho and Henderson to Saudi Arabia

Liverpool has confirmed its stance on retaining star players Mohamed Salah and Alisson during the current transfer window, despite growing interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League. The club has already generated a substantial sum of approximately £50 million from sales to Saudi Arabian teams earlier in the summer transfer period. Notably, Fabinho was transferred to Al Ittihad, while the team’s captain, Jordan Henderson, was acquired by Al Ettifaq.

Recent reports have linked Salah with a possible move to the Saudi Pro League, a rumor that has been circulating for several months. However, it’s worth noting that Salah’s agent has previously downplayed the likelihood of such a transfer. Sources indicate that intermediaries associated with clubs owned by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), including Al Nassr, Al Hilal, Al Ahli, and Al Ittihad, have recently initiated contact not only with Salah’s representatives but also with those representing goalkeeper Alisson.

Despite these discussions, there appears to be no substantial inclination from either player to consider relocating to Saudi Arabia at this juncture. Both Salah and Alisson are content with their current positions at Liverpool and have shown no interest in departing from Anfield at this time. Their commitment to the club is evident, and their intentions align with Liverpool’s objectives.

Both Salah and Alisson made their transfers to Liverpool from Roma, with Salah’s move occurring in 2017 and Alisson’s arrival a year later. Their partnership has proven to be exceptionally successful, resulting in the acquisition of numerous club-level trophies. Their contributions have significantly bolstered Liverpool’s performance and standing in various competitions.

While Liverpool remains firm in its determination to retain Salah and Alisson, the club has faced challenges in securing certain signings. Unfortunately, Liverpool missed out on acquiring midfielders Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia. Caicedo recently concluded his transition from Brighton & Hove Albion to a different club, while Lavia’s impending arrival is imminent, pending the finalization of a £58 million agreement with Southampton.

In conclusion, Liverpool’s position on the transfer of key players Salah and Alisson remains resolute. Despite apparent interest from Saudi Pro League clubs, the players’ loyalty to Liverpool and contentment with their current situation reinforce the club’s decision to retain their services. The duo’s achievements and contributions have been invaluable to the team’s success, underscoring their significance in the club’s future endeavors. While the club faces minor setbacks in securing specific transfers, its determination to uphold its roster and strategic goals remains unwavering.
