Georges’ was born on December 9 1988 in Douala, Cameroon to parents of Cameroon descent. He grew up in Douala and just like any other boy of his age, football was his sport and he played alongside his neighbours.
He was enrolled at the Kadji Sports Academy in Cameroon and a few years later, he left for Germany where he joined VfB Stuttgart. He was then loaned out to Kaiserslautern and back to Stuttgart.
He was loaned again to Kaiserslautern, to Stade Rennais, Auxerre, Kayseri Erciyesspor, Metz, Waasland-Beveren and to Kocaelispor in Turkey.
Mandjeck has been a regular player for the Cameroon national team and has played internationally for his country in several tournaments.
Mandjeck was brought up in a Christian family which he still does and often posts religious quotes on his social accounts.
CAREER
Brought up in Cameroon, Mandjeck began his career at the Kadji Sports Academy but later left for Germany where he joined VfB Stuttgart and made his debut which turned out to be his only competitive appearance for the club.
He was then loaned out to Kaiserslautern for the end of the season before returning to Stuttgart. The player was on a second loan to Kaiserslautern and the following season he joined Stade Rennais, Auxerre and then Kayseri Erciyesspor on a three-year contract at a fee of $4.35 million. Two seasons later, Georges was loaned to FC Metz until the end of the season.
He joined Belgian club Waasland-Beveren for one season before moving to Kocaelispor, a Turkish club.
