Getting one of the talented free agents now available without a club may be quite smart in this transfer window where prices have actually gone insane.
The amount paid on transfer fees by Premier League teams alone this summer is around £1.7 billion; following deadline day, the amount may increase to $2 billion.
The Saudi Pro League’s extravagant expenditure has contributed to the irrational inflation of the market.
By acquiring a few of them, clubs may attempt to avoid shelling out such astronomical sums, however, they typically come with larger pay packages as there is no transfer fee involved.
We look at seasoned players who are currently up for grabs on a free transfer.
David de Gea

David De Gea has had a difficult year. He was teased by Manchester United for months about the potential of a new contract before having his one expire.
Then, it appeared as though everything might work out for the Spaniard when he became linked with a move to Real Madrid when Thibaut Courtois was forced to miss the remainder of the season due to an ACL injury. Instead, they decided to loan Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Bayern Munich was also mentioned in connection with De Gea, but they made an effort to get Kepa instead. Before David Raya decided on Arsenal, they were interested in him. They are now considering Maccabi tel Aviv’s Daniel Peretz and Stefan Ortega of Manchester City as potential recruits.
He’s still hoping Bayern would answer the phone, but he might have to wait a while.
Jesse Lingard
Jesse Lingard is once again a free agent after agreeing to a large wage on a one-year deal with Nottingham Forest last summer.
The offensive midfielder revitalized his career two years ago while on loan at West Ham, but Manchester United blew the chance to transfer him to that team when his worth was inflated and instead let him leave for nothing.
It seems like two years of Lingard’s career have slipped by unnoticed after one injury-plagued season in the East Midlands. He is now working out with the Hammers, and a transfer might happen before the transfer window closes.
Eden Hazard

Eden Hazard’s time at Real Madrid was plagued by injuries and fitness concerns, so things there just never quite worked out for him. He was a €100 million megastar when he joined from Chelsea in 2019, but he left four years later with just seven goals in 76 games.
His form collapsed in front of our eyes; he lost two yards of speed, and his first touch appeared to give up him overnight. He was a costly passenger on the team.
With offers purportedly on the table from the Saudi Pro League, MLS, and Brazil, Hazard looks bound to leave Europe if he wants to prolong his career.
Alexis Sanchez
Alexis Sanchez, another wide attacker who appeared to lose his skills and attributes from one day to the next as the domestic season resumes across Europe, is now without a club.
The Chilean, who was a star at Arsenal and a total failure at Manchester United, found a little redemption at Inter Milan, where he won a Scudetto. He had a respectable year with Marseille in Ligue 1 last year.
Surprisingly, Sanchez has been connected to a transfer to Forest. Although a move to Brazil has been suggested, Inter Milan has also been a possibility.
Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos is once again on the market following his two years at Paris Saint-Germain. Will there be any buyers for the Real Madrid great at 37 years old?
In truth, there may be. Real Madrid, to start. Returning to the Bernabeu would benefit both sides as his previous team is dealing with an injury issue at the precise position he plays.
