Diamond Dallas first broke into the wrestling business in 1988, working as a manager in the American Wrestling Association. After seven years with the promotion, he left and then joined World Championship Wrestling in 1991.
While at WCW, Diamond continued to work as a manager for some time before starting to wrestle. He was 35 years old when he began fighting in the ring. His first appearance was in a tag team match and he competed against Kevin Sullivan.
Diamond’s first title as a pro wrestler was the WCW World Television Championship. In 1997, the American wrestler claimed the United States Heavyweight Championship title. After defeating Bret Hart at the 1998 World War 3, he became the only wrestler to defend the United States Heavyweight Championship.
He spent over a decade in WCW, winning the WCW World Heavyweight Championship three times, WCW United States Heavyweight Championship two times, WCW World Tag Team Championship four times and WCW World Television Championship once. Diamond is the fourth WCW Triple Crown Champion.

Diamond Dallas joined WWF in 2001 after WCW was sold. He made his debut in the main event of July’s Invasion show.
During his time with the promotion, Diamond was a one-time WWF European Champion and a one-time WWF World Tag Team Champion. He left WWF due to a series of injuries that led to the termination of his contract.
Diamond continued with his wrestling career at TNA, where he challenged for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. He worked with TNA from 2004 to 2005.
