The 20-year-old is free to leave Barcelona in quest of consistent first-team play, and Roberto De Zerbi’s squad appears poised to beat Tottenham to the signing of the player. According to reports, Chelsea has also been given the opportunity to sign Fati, but they are concentrating on luring Cole Palmer away from Manchester City.
When he scored against Ukraine in 2020 at the age of 17 years and 311 days, Fati, one of Spanish football’s brightest prospects, set a record for the national team’s youngest goal scorer.
Fati will join a loan deal with Brighton in an effort to jump-start his career after injuries and competition for positions slowed down his development.
According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal has been made for Fati to join the Premier League, although there isn’t a buy option involved in the arrangement.

In the last hours of the summer transfer window, it is said that the two London giants that were are keeping an eye on the winger’s condition, but De Zerbi’s Seagulls are now in the lead to sign him.
Before losing to West Ham United on Saturday at the London Stadium, Brighton started its second Premier League season with back-to-back victories over Luton Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The Seagulls are aiming to rebuild their team after high-profile departures, with Alexis Mac Allister and Moises Caicedo departing the club this summer for a combined total of £147 million.
Carlos Baleba joined earlier this week from Ligue 1 team Lille, and De Zerbi is hoping the Cameroonian can serve as a straight replacement for the departing Caicedo.
