Amy attended Mount Saint Joseph Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, where she was a McDonald’s All-American and a two-time Gatorade Maryland Player of the Year where she committed to play college basketball for the UConn Huskies.
She was a two-year starter at UConn helping the Huskies win the 2021 NCAA Championship, and being named to the All-Big East Second Team the following year.
She was then drafted in the 2022 WNBA Draft by the Lynx with the overall pick and made her debut against Indiana Fever, scoring three points and two rebounds in the game.
