Tony Stewart began his racing career way back in 1979 when he competed in his first go-cart racing. The following year, he won his first Championship. After years of racing, Stewart managed to win World Carting Association Championship in 1987.
Between 1987 and 1991, Stewart raced with United Midget Racing Association. He then moved to United States Auto Club (USAC) Series and was named USAC Rookie of the Year in 1991. In 1994, the skilled driver made a name for himself by winning USAC national midget series championship.
Stewart became the triple crown champion in 1995 and later found his way into Indy car racing. It took him just two years to become the Indy car series champion. In 1996, he joined the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR world truck series.
