The prolific defender recently got married to the love of his life, Sumayya Mustapha, who works as a beautician and the couple is blessed with a son.

His wife owns a fashion brand after graduating from Usman Fodio University with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. The couple met through a mutual friend and one thing led to the other.

So unfortunate that the footballer lost his father a few years back after a brief illness when he was in Swaziland for training. He is a practising Muslim who holds on to his religion dearly.

His way to fame was warmly welcomed by fans when he got the Man of the Match award in the crucial qualifying game against Zambia. The match was held in Uyo and it sealed the country’s qualification for the 2018 World Cup.

Abdullahi was gifted a four-bedroom house by the Sokoto State Government for his impressive performance at the World Cup held in Russia. He was also given land to build his sports complex, a paid trip to hajj and cash to support his charity foundation.

The Super Eagles defender began a foundation with an initiative to help the less privileged in society in support of the Sokoto Government, his friends and other organizations.

The midfielder started his career as a player in Kano Pillars and has since played for many football clubs in Nigeria before he became an international player.

He got his lifetime break when he signed a contract with a club in Kuwait, that was worth $330,000 which is a huge amount of money that contributed to his net worth boost in a big way.

He then joined newly promoted Primeira Liga side C.F Uniao on a two-year deal then to Cypriot side Anorthosis Famagusta on a two-year deal.

Bursaspor signed the player on two and a half years for an undisclosed fee, then to Omonia and lastly to Levski Sofia where he is currently playing.

Shehu is quite reserved about posting his wheel photos on his social media but with his net worth, he certainly has better and big machines. Fortunately, I caught a glimpse of some of the luxury cars you will find in his collection.
