Ralf Schumacher, the brother of Michael Schumacher, disagrees with Lewis Hamilton about Red Bull’s choice to move through with 2024 advancements.

Red Bull’s CEO Horner said that the 2024 RB20 was now receiving some resources because of its advantage at the front of the field.

Hamilton responded to Horner’s comments by claiming that at the height of their domination, Mercedes never began development of their next model this early in the season.

Still, Schumacher seems to disagree, saying Red Bull is simply copying what Mercedes did in previous campaigns.

He said that Mercedes already has a route map to follow for the next season because they know what to work on in their car and get back on top.

“Red Bull, on the other hand, has the advantage that they know where to go. They can already concentrate on the coming season. Mercedes did the same thing for years. That was never a revolution, but always just an evolution,” his Sky Sports column read.

Hamilton claimed at the Austrian Grand Prix that Silver Arrows engineers had never begun work on a Mercedes vehicle this early in the season.

He admitted that as he urged the FIA leaders to change the regulations to prevent constructors from starting work on the 2024 cars until later in the year.

Hamilton proposed ending periods in which one team dominates for years on end.

“We never started as early as them. That’s why I’m saying it needs to change – because that’s why you have dominance for so long, and they keep allowing it to happen,” said the seven-time F1 driver.

“Ferrari was ahead and the same thing happened there, when Red Bull were ahead with Seb [Vettel] back in the day, they start earlier so they’re always ahead.”

The team’s budget cap penalty, according to Red Bull, maybe a hindrance after the summer break. After violating F1’s cost cap restrictions in 2021, the team has 10% less wind tunnel time now.

Schumacher believes the team will have enough left over to fend off any challenges and may win four more championships before the pack closes in.

He further remarked that the budget cap issue will somewhat lessen Red Bull’s hegemony because individuals will have to quit the racing team, which will assist the new teams.

In general, F1’s experience is more dispersed, and everything gets closer together, but even with all this, Red Bull will continue to dominate through 2026.

He currently rules the track and appears destined to do so for some time and he says that he feels like he has won everything there is in F1.

His racing career now feels complete even as it appears that he will win his third consecutive world championship at 25 years old.

Verstappen has accumulated 43 victories in his F1 career, including eight of nine victories this season. The Red Bull driver recently won the Silverstone British Grand Prix for a second time.
