Dean Henderson excelled while on loan at Nottingham Forest last season, helping the freshly promoted team avoid the drop.
Forest wants to re-sign the 26-year-old on a long-term basis, but negotiations have been made more difficult by Manchester United’s hazy goalkeeping position. After failing to reach an agreement on a new deal, David de Gea left as a free agent, and United will be hesitant to approve the sale of Henderson until a successor has been found.
Henderson could be able to depart for a starting position, though, as the Red Devils are reportedly close to signing Andre Onana from Inter Milan.
Donny van de Beek
It’s fair to say that Donny van de Beek’s time at Manchester United hasn’t been successful.
The midfielder joined with a developing reputation from Ajax, where he scored 41 goals in 175 appearances and made an impression while playing for Erik ten Hag’s Dutch team, who advanced to the Champions League semi-finals in 2018–19.
In a challenging first season, he only managed to make four league starts, and things haven’t gotten much better since. Both Ten Hag’s arrival at Manchester United and his loan to Everton failed to revive his career, and all signs point to his departure.
Fred
Fred is anticipated to depart Manchester United this summer, and several teams have already expressed interest in him.
The acquisition of Casemiro and Christian Eriksen cost the Brazil international his spot in the team last season, and he started just 12 Premier League games. Next summer, when his current contract ends, United will want to make a profit on the 30-year-old before he becomes a free agent.
A first offer from Galatasaray was previously turned down, and Fulham is also interested in a transfer. Other Premier League teams and the Saudi Pro League are reportedly interested, and the Red Devils are asking for around £20 million.
Scott McTominay

Casemiro’s transfer from Real Madrid reduced Scott McTominay’s importance in the team, and he spent most of the previous season on the sidelines.
Even though he only made 10 league appearances in 2022–2023, the 26-year-old is weighing his options and is probably going to receive offers from Premier League competitors. The Scotland international, who apparently has a price tag of more than £30 million, has drawn significant interest from Newcastle, West Ham, and Brighton.
Declan Rice has signed a contract to join Arsenal, which might cause West Ham to increase their interest in the midfielder. Following his £105 million transfer to the Emirates, McTominay is the perfect stylistic replacement for the England midfielder due to his tenacity and commanding build.
Harry Maguire

Given that the defender had difficulty playing for the first team last year, Harry Maguire‘s future is still uncertain. After a challenging start to the season, Maguire was benched and struggled to reclaim a regular position in the team, making only eight Premier League starts by the conclusion of the year.
Maguire has received favorable public comments from Ten Hag, but the Dutchman has essentially dropped the club captain to the position of fifth-choice center-back. Gareth Southgate has told Harry Maguire that his future with England is in jeopardy if things do not turn around, raising the possibility of leaving this summer.
The writing appeared to be on the wall as Ten Hag acknowledged the center-back ‘had a decision to make’ on what lies ahead at Old Trafford. The 30-year-old will need to regain form and favor if he is to remain in the England squad for next summer’s European Championship.
Numerous Premier League teams are said to be interested in signing Maguire, but no formal offers have been made as of yet due to the defender’s expensive wages and asking price.
