  • Al Hilal have made a record-breaking $332,460,429 (£259 million) offer to Paris Saint-Germain
  • Mbappe has been removed from the French champions’ preseason squad
  • PSG has received offers in addition to the record-breaking one from Al Hilal

Al Hilal have made a record-breaking $332,460,429 (£259 million) offer to Paris Saint-Germain(PSG) for Kylian Mbappe.

Mbappe has been removed from the French champions’ preseason squad and put up for sale, making it clear that they only want players who are committed to the team to travel with them to South Korea and Japan.

HOW MUCH IS AL HILAL OFFERING MBAPPE?

Al Hilal is offering PSG $332 million to sign Mbappe into the Saudi League. Should this deal fall through, Mbappe will  join big names in the world of football who chose to play in Saudi Arabia. Portuguese international and former Manchester United player Cristiano Ronaldo opened this window  following his exit at Old Trafford. While United Manager Erik ten Hag made it look like Ronaldo’s exit was out of good faith; the opposite is true.

It was an acrimonious exit which opened the floodgates for his bid and he eventually joined Al Nassr in early 2023 and seems pretty comfortable there. This has inspired many other footballers who are now considering playing in the Saudi League. Karim Benzema, Hakim Ziyech, and N’golo Kante, are among elite European footballers who joined the Saudi League in 2023

PSG has received several other offers in addition to the record-breaking one from Al Hilal. They have received a variety of bids for Mbappe, including cash and players, but Al Hilal have made their intentions clear by submitting a record-breaking offer.

IS AL HILAL THE ONLY CLUB BIDDING FOR MBAPPE?

At least five teams, including Tottenham, are reportedly interested in signing Mbappe, according to Paris Saint-Germain. There is reportedly already a “hot market” for the France captain, and PSG is anticipating additional developments this week with the teams Chelsea, Man United, Inter Milan, and Barcelona among those showing interest.

If it were up to the French national team, they would simply sell Mbappe to the highest bidder, but other clubs would find it difficult to ever come close to matching their offers. PSG will consider any and all approaches to sell Mbappe.

The 24-year-old PSG forward has a year left on his deal and isn’t interested in signing a new one because PSG thinks he’s already decided to move with Real Madrid for nothing next summer.

To ensure they don’t lose out on the player again, Real might now be tempted to submit a formal offer for him. PSG is adamant that Mbappe, who reportedly cost more than £150 million when he signed from Monaco, will not be lost for nothing.

Clubs that are interested have been informed that PSG is even willing to loan Mbappe out for the season. Mbappe is prepared to stand his ground, watch from the sidelines the following season, and join Madrid on a free transfer the following summer.

Mbappe will not play for PSG without a contract extension which he doesn’t seem keen on.

DOES KYLIAN MBAPPE HAVE A FUTURE AT PSG?

According to Sky Sports News chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol, Kylian Mbappe’s future at PSG is uncertain due to his exorbitant wages and loyalty bonuses, with rumors suggesting he could earn over £100m if he stays for another season. Interestingly, PSG is reportedly willing to let him leave on loan, potentially facilitating a move to another club without a transfer fee.

Several clubs, including some from the Premier League, Italy, Spain, and Saudi Arabia, have expressed interest in Mbappe, with discussions involving loan deals, player-and-cash exchanges, and potential transfers.

French football expert Jonathan Johnson believes that PSG stands to gain a world-record transfer fee and Mbappe’s short-term contract appeal to clubs. The possibility of Saudi Arabia’s interest in Mbappe was inevitable, and their potential offer may be enticing for the player.

Meanwhile, France’s players’ union has accused PSG of morally harassing Mbappe and threatened legal action to protect his rights. The situation has become increasingly uncertain in recent days, but if the right offer comes through, PSG may consider accepting it and allowing Mbappe to negotiate personal terms with the interested club, possibly Al Hilal.
