Career

The goalkeeper then signed for Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie making his debut for the club and quickly became one of the club’s most important players helping Sparta finish in fifth place in the season.
As a result of good performance, he was named the club’s player of the season and due to his value addition, the club extended his contract until 2025.
One year later, Okoye signed a five-and-a-half-year28-man contract for an undisclosed fee, a deal that saw him back to Sparta Rotterdam on loan until the end of the season. Born to a Nigerian father, Maduka is eligible to play for Nigeria and he was invited to the Nigerian U23 team for the 2019 Africa U23 Cup of Nations qualifier though he did not make a debut due to the club’s engagement.
