Early Life

Isco was born to Paco Alarcon and Jenny Suarez on April 21 in Benalmadena, Spain. His dad used to work in hotels, but he now manages his son’s career.

He was overweight as a youngster and was born with bow-legged legs. But he made the decision to battle his physical flaws in order to fulfill his ambition of playing professional football. He struggled to lose weight before joining his first youth group. His older brother, who after suffering an injury, abandoned his ambition of becoming a football player, served as his inspiration.

Isco began his professional career when he was still quite young. He had played for Atletico Benamiel when he was younger. On November 11, 2010, Isco made his first team debut. He competed in his debut Copa del Rey game against “UD Logrones” and won it 4-1 at home. He scored twice. Three days later, he participated in his debut La Liga game, appearing for 20 minutes in the famed team “Getafe CF”‘s 2-0 home victory.

he later agreed to a five-year contract with Malaga CF when the club exercised his 6 million euro buy-out option in the middle of July 2011. On November 21, 2011, he scored the club’s first goal in a 3-1 away triumph over the illustrious “Racing de Santander” team.

Isco joined Real Madrid on June 17, 2013, for a 30 million euro transfer fee. He defeated Real Betis 2-1 on his professional debut. He scored 11 goals and made 53 appearances in his first season. His best encounter was the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid, when he made his debut in the 61st minute and helped his team win 4-1.

Isco made his Real Madrid debut, assisting on the game-winning goal and leading his team to a 2-1 victory over Real Betis at home. On September 1st, he once again scored twice against Athletic Bilbao. Isco’s game-winning goal helped his team win 3-1 at “Osasuna” on February 11, 2017, marking his 100th goal of the year. He made 30 appearances in the 2016–17 campaign as Real Madrid won the La Liga championship.

Isco and Sevilla came to an agreement in principle on a two-year contract on August 7, 2022, which was announced by Sevilla. Isco and Sevilla chose to end their contractual agreement on December 21, 2022.

He signed with Real Betis on July 26, 2023, for a single season.

International Career

Isco began playing for Spain at the under-17 level at the 2009 FIFA World Cup when he scored three goals as his country placed third. He participated on behalf of his nation at the 2011 Under-20 World Cup in Colombia, where he scored one goal en route to a quarterfinal exit.

He made his main team debut on February 6, 2013, in Doha, Qatar, playing the final 30 minutes of a 3-1 victory over Uruguay. at a UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match against Belarus at Huelva on November 15, 2014, he scored his first goal for Spain, helping his country to a 3-0 victory. Isco was also included in Spain’s final roster for the May 2018 FIFA World Cup, which took place in Russia.
