European clubs must make important decisions this summer after letting star players enter their final year of contracts.
We feature some of the best players in the world that could be free agents in 2024.
After breaking the golden rule by letting star players enter their final year of contracts, European clubs must make important decisions this summer about whether to continue with them or change their plan of action.
Clubs must now decide whether to sell promptly for a price or take the chance of losing assets to free transfers next summer.
Several teams will be keeping an eye on the 2024 free agents, which will feature some of the best players in the world.
Kylian Mbappe

After informing Paris Saint-Germain that he would not be renewing his contract, Kylian Mbappe’s future is expected to dominate the news this summer.
Mbappe came very close to leaving PSG last summer before agreeing to a contract extension, but a second unsuccessful European campaign and the ongoing drama of the Parisian club’s internal politics have led the 24-year-old to think about leaving once more.
While PSG is certain that the France captain would not be let go for free, Mbappe believes he is still committed to the Ligue 1 winners for the upcoming season.
Despite his contractual predicament, PSG will want a cost of at least £150 million for Mbappe, which reflects his status as perhaps the finest player in the world after 212 goals in 260 appearances for the team.
Throughout the summer, anticipate the tale to continue, with an unsavory conclusion anticipated for now. Longtime supporters of Real Madrid, and there is a perception in Paris that a deal has already been reached for the summer of 2019. A major setback to PSG’s plan would be Mbappe leaving as a free agent.
Harry Kane

Another free agent whose future might be predetermined is Harry Kane, who is listed as the top free agent for next summer.
Bayern Munich is trying to convince Spurs to sell the England captain, but the Bundesliga champions have had two offers rejected. At least publicly, Kane’s position is still unknown.
He is 48 goals away from Alan Shearer’s Premier League record and getting closer to individual immortality should he decide to stay at Spurs. He will turn 30 later this month, yet he has yet to win a significant prize in his career.
Bayern are among the favorites to win the Champions League this season and are as close to a lock to win trophies as any club in Europe. The Bavarians won the Bundesliga for the 11th consecutive season last year, and their case for success would be strengthened if Kane were to play for them at the Allianz Arena.
As one of the fiercest negotiators in the game, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will seek a sum in excess of £100 million for the club’s all-time leading scorer. Ange Postecoglou, the next head coach, will want to know the facts as quickly as possible.
Adrien Rabiot
This summer, Adrien Rabiot opted to sign a new contract with Juventus rather than pursue free agency, and he was thrilled to do so.
The midfielder could be open to a transfer soon, though, because of the one-year extension. Rabiot played the finest football of his career last season for Juventus, and the previous two summers have seen links between him and Manchester United.
Only Danilo made more appearances for the Turin team, and the France international only managed 11 goals throughout all competitions. If he keeps performing at such levels in 2023–2024, elite clubs will likely approach him once again.
Presnel Kimpembe

Presnel Kimpembe may be available for purchase next summer after failing to reach a new contract agreement with Paris Saint-Germain.
Since graduating from the club’s academy, the center defender has made 236 appearances for the Parisians, but there has been no word on an extension as he enters the last year of his contract.
With the additions of defensive pairings Lucas Hernandez and Milan Skriniar, PSG has been busy in the transfer market and will now have more competition to make Luis Enrique’s starting lineup.
The recent change in Kimpembe’s agent has raised the possibility of a trade. With Chelsea reportedly having admirers, the 27-year-old has been associated with the Premier League.
