Aday Mara informed Zaragoza of his decision to terminate his contract with Casademont Zaragoza though it has not officially been confirmed. The reason for that would be that he wants to play in the NCAA. Players who have played professionally in Europe before attaining the age of 19 years are not eligible to play in the NCAA.

If he terminated his contract with Zaragoza, he could sign with any team of his choice. The other reason as to why he would want to terminate his contract could be that he is not happy at Zaragoza, feeling that he is not developed properly.

However, if Mara terminates his contract with Zaragoza, he will be eligible to play in the NCAA.

Mara has not been in his basketball career for so long but so far, he has already achieved much. Here are some of his achievements:

  • He is projected to be a high draft pick in the 2027 NBA Draft
  • He signed a three-year contract with Casademont Zaragoza worth $1.7 million
  • He was named to the All-Tournament Team at the U18 European Championship in 2023.

My passion is capturing the untold journey of global athletes from humble beginnings to superstars in their own right.
