Antonio is a basketball player who played for Unicaja Malaga’s youth team while Maria is a student at the University of Malaga.

Career

Diaz began his career with Clinicas Rincon, an affiliated team of Unicaja and was later loaned to Bilbao Basket and then to Baloncesto Fuenlabrada.

The point guard then came back to Unicaja winning the European -wide 2nd tier-level EuroCup after beating Valencia Basket in the finals.

Alongside winning the EuroCup trophy, Diaz was also named the EuroCup Finals MVP, his contract was extended four years after the victory.

Internationally, Diaz was part of the Spain national U18 basketball team that won the Albert Schweitzer Tournament in 2012. Two years later, he won a silver medal at the U20 Championship held in Greece. He is one of the best perimeter defenders in Europe.
