Sadio Mane has finally broken his silence on the incidence where he allegedly punched teammate Leroy Sane.

The Senegal international was alleged to have punched Sane in the face after Bayern Munich’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City. The two were seen arguing on the pitch before the end of their first UEFA Champions League clash with City.

The confrontation continued in the dressing room after the final whistle and Sane was later seen with a bloodied lip. Reports soon emerged that the German international had been hit by his teammate Sadio Mane during an altercation in the dressing room.

Bayern Munich took action afterwards and punished Sadio Mane with a hefty fine of 250,000 euros. The amount remains to be the biggest in Bayern Munich’s history. Mane was also handed a one-match ban.

According to the Daily Mail, Sane reportedly asked Bayern to sack Mane for his violent behaviour. However, the two players appear to have buried the hatchet.

Sadio Mane recently broke silence on the incidence telling reporters in his homeland that such incidents happen. He went ahead and said that was a small problem which they already solved.

“This kind of things can happen. It happened. We were able to solve this small problem. Sometimes it’s good to solve problems, but maybe not in this way. It’s behind us now. We’ll try to fight together to help the club achieve its goals next season. I’m on vacation with the family.” Daily Mail quotes the Senegalese winger.

Bayern Ready To Offload Mane This Summer

According to German outlet Bild, Bayern Munich is willing to release Sadio Mane this summer transfer window. Mane joined last summer from Liverpool for 35 million euros but didn’t put on the performance expected from him. He began his campaign well but soon began struggling with injuries before losing his form.

Saudi Arabia club Al-Ettifaq is interested in the winger, who seems to have regained his form. Mane scored twice as Senegal beat Brazil 4-2 in a friendly match played this month. Despite the interests, Mane wants to return to Bayern Munich and help the club next season.

“It was a very complicated season, it happens. It wasn’t a surprise, I expected things to be a bit complicated. It’s normal. I love challenges, and Bayern is a big challenge. It’s up to me to do everything to meet this challenge. God willing, if everything goes well, I’m going back to Bayern.” Sadio Mane said, as per Daily Mail.

Well, Sadio Mane is not the only player who Bayern could offload this summer. The Senegalese forward is just one out of seven players Thomas Tuchel would be happy to release. The others are Serge Gnabry, Leroy Sane, Benjamin Pavard, Marcel Sabitzer, Alexander Nubel and Bouna Sarr.
