Liudmila Samsonova began playing tennis at the age of six after her father asked her to start playing either lawn tennis or table tennis. As a junior, her highest ranking was world No. 65 and biggest achievements were winning consecutive ITF Junior Circuit Grade 2 tournaments in 2016.
