When he announced that he bought a $36.8 million mansion in 2020, no one ever thought about LeBron James house Beverly Hills would ever come down.

A few days ago though, photos of a completely torn-down mansion shook many who wondered why the Los Angeles Lakers star decided so. For a man with a $1 billion net worth, this isn’t too much of a press for him. His total earnings from the NBA are an estimated $529 million while the rest come from his investments to top up his billion-dollar status.

DOES LEBRON HAVE A HOUSE IN BEVERLY HILLS?

Lebron James house Beverly Hills is a reality. He bought the home in September 2020 for a whopping $36.8 million. It was such a huge investment given the US was at the time grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic. This property has an interesting history.

Charles Boyer, a legendary Hollywood star, was the first owner of this property developed in 1930s. Its ownership would later change to Howard Hughes eventually acquired it and leased it to Katharine Hepburn.

After Hepburn left, the house was held by regular people for a long time until 1986, when The Young and the Restless creators’ Lee Phillip Bell and William Brent Bell paid $2.9 million to buy it. The Lakers star purchased the home in September 2020, but it seems he had entirely different ambitions for it. Just a few years before it turned 100, he started the legal process to demolish it right away which was full of hurdles.

James will now build his dream home on the large 2.5-acre plot of land was on. For NBA pundits, this is a demonstration of his commitment to remain in Los Angeles even after he leaves the LA Lakers. The land is currently bare with piles of dirt revealing the enormous magnitude of the construction going on.  One of Los Angeles’ largest driveway gates serves as additional security for the property.

Although the mansion is no longer there, LeBron James house Beverly Hills at 9955 Beverly Grove Dr remains his official address. He spent time here with his wife Savannah and their kids since the purchase in 2020. However, he applied for consent to tear down the house and build his dream home sometime in 2021 but it was never approved until recently.

The main estate measures 9,100 square feet and has four bedrooms and eight total baths. It also has a palm-topped motor court and a driveway bordered with hedges. Although it was constructed in the 1930s, Bell made updates to it throughout time.

Further, the enormous Beverly Hills estate has more than 9,100 internal square feet. Additionally, it has vaulted, and exposed-beam ceilings which is part of the upgrade done since Bell’s ownership of the property. Looking at its initial architecture, it adopts a Mediterranean approach in its engineering.

HOW MUCH IS LEBRON JAMES HOUSE IN CALIFORNIA?

The Beverly Hills property went for $36.5 million in 2020 when James purchased it although it had a $39 million tag to it. He negotiated for a good discount and ended with the property.

Before purchasing the Brentwood property, he bought a $21 million mansion in Brentwood, Los Angeles in 2015. He lived here with his Savanah and their three kids. The 8-acre estate has a huge pool and Jacuzzi, as well as 9 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.

This Brentwood home is situated on a private 3.5-acre estate in Los Angeles’ upscale Brentwood district. It measured 15,819 square feet. The house also has a cinema theatre, outdoor kitchen, pool, and spa. A contemporary interior with gorgeous hardwood flooring, tall ceilings, and a large living room tell it all about the house.
