Hakim Ziyech is on the verge of leaving Chelsea to join Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr, according to 90min. Meanwhile, Kalidou Koulibaly is also nearing a transfer to the Middle East.
Chelsea is looking to generate funds this summer. This is partly in response to significant spending in previous transfer windows and to finance further business this year. Ziyech and Koulibaly are among several players available for transfer.
Todd Boehly, co-owner of Chelsea, recently visited Saudi Arabia for meetings with various football officials. Furthermore, discussions about the availability of Chelsea’s fringe players were reportedly held.

The Saudi authorities wasted no time and Ziyech will be the first Chelsea player to make the move to the Middle East this summer.
Ziyech has agreed to a three-year contract with Al-Nassr, where he will join forces with Cristiano Ronaldo. He is expected to undergo a medical examination before finalizing the move.
Regarding Koulibaly, negotiations are progressing for a transfer to Al-Hilal. The former Napoli centre-back has declined a loan move back to Serie A in favour of a permanent transfer to Saudi Arabia.
An agreement on personal terms is close to being finalized, with a proposed three-year contract until 2026 also on the table for the 31-year-old.
Goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has also reached an agreement on a three-year contract with Al Ahli. However, the club is currently working on securing a transfer fee agreement with Chelsea. The deal is expected to be completed later this week.
In other developments, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly in talks for a move to Saudi Arabia but has not yet reached an agreement. Romelu Lukaku has been targeted as a potential signing but has expressed a desire to remain in Europe. Callum Hudson-Odoi’s name has also been discussed, but he is currently uninterested in a move to the Middle East.
