Career 

Ferland Mendy began playing football as a small boy at Ecquevilly EFC in 2002. After two years, he secured a transfer to Paris Saint-Germain where he spent most of his career days as a youth. He then spent a season at FC Mantois 78 before joining Le Havre where he made his professional debut.

During the 2016-17 season, Mendy made 35 appearances for Le Havre in Ligue 2. His impressive performance saw him transfer to Ligue 1 side Lyon in the summer of 2017 for 5 million euros and a possible one million in bonuses. He signed a five-year deal.

Mendy impressed at Lyon and caught the attention of La Liga giants Real Madrid, who signed him in June 2019. According to Wikipedia, the Frenchman signed a five-year deal, with the Los Blancos paying 48 million euros potentially rising to 53 million euros.

On 1 September 2019, Mendy made his debut as Real Madrid were held to a 2-2 draw by Villareal. During his time with Real Madrid, Mendy has won the La Liga twice, Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League. He has also won the Supercopa de Espana and the UEFA Super Cup.
