Personal Life

Sarki was born in Kaduna, Nigeria on December 26 1987 to his Nigerian father and mother of Haitian origin and had one sibling, a brother.

At a tender age, Sarki lost all his nuclear family members in a car accident and Dosu Makelele, a former super eagles goalkeeper took him in as his son.

After Dosu adopted Sarki, he introduced him to the football world and has had a big influence on his life, making him gain all the courage to play the sport.

He also met Joseph Mourinho and ex-France star Claud Makelele who held his hand and made sure he excelled in his career. At Chelsea, Claud encouraged him not to be afraid of the big guys just because they are on Tv.

Sarki failed to make a first-team appearance for Chelsea and he was subsequently shipped on loan to Belgian club Waterloo. There he bought a house and also met his wife.

It was mysterious how he met his wife. He was at a train station when a lady approached him and asked for assistance since she lost her luggage and documents. At first, Sarki was not onto it and thought the lady was a prostitute who wanted to trap him.

A second thought struck him and he decided to help her. They exchanged their contacts and a few days later, the lady refunded the money she was lent and this is how it all began.

There was a friendly match in Amsterdam against club Ajax and the lady happened to live near the stadium. They met up and their love story has grown to make them parents.

Career

Sarki began his career playing for Grays International FC and then moved to Oslo.

He joined team Chelsea where he trained on trial for some time and was later absorbed in the main team, immediately being loaned to out to KVC Westerlo.

In 2014, he was called up to the Haiti national team, eligible to play as his maternal grandfather was born there.

At the time of this call-up, Sarki said that he had been invited to play for the Nigeria national team twice and was expected to pay up some money to be involved with the Nigeria national team which he declined to pay.

Sarki was involved in Haiti’s third-place finish at the Caribbean Cup, making his debut against Antigua and Barbuda where he assisted Kervens Belfort in a win over Martinique.

After his contract expired with Waasland-Beveren, he has a trial with Wisla Krakow and eventually signed a two-year deal with them, with an option of a third year. He made his debut for the club against Polonia Warsaw when he played as a substitute in the 56th minute.

He joined AEL Limassol after his contract with Wisla Krakow ran out following a knee injury which ruled him out in the season. One year later, he joined the Polish fourth-division club Wegrzcanka Wegrzce Wielkie.

Four months later, he moved to Odra Wodzislaw. His net worth has grown due to the various contracts he has signed with various clubs.

Sarki was a member of the Nigeria national under-17 football team which played at the 2003 FIFA Under-17 World Championship held in Finland. He also played for the Nigeria national under-20 football team at the African U-20 Championship.

He scored two goals for the eventual runners-up.
