Los Angeles Lakers celebrated player LeBron James could be headed for retirement.
The Lakers Star made a possible retirement suggestion in his postgame press conference after the defeat by Denver Nuggets.
James, 38, has completed his 20th NBA season as the all-time top scorer and is poised to make another run to the finals, but he is limited in what he can accomplish.
He said that though it wasn’t easy getting to the finals, he isn’t sure he wants to continue and he has to think about it.
“It’s not fun to not be able to get to the finals. We’ll see what happens down the road. I don’t know. I got a lot to think about, to be honest. Just with me, personally moving forward with the game of basketball, I got a lot to think about,” Marca reports.

While he thinks about it all, his fans are optimistic that he will play for a few more years to make his dream of playing with his eldest son Bronny James a reality.
Bronny has a few more years to the NBA draft and James is categorical that he is the reason he hasn’t retired yet. It’s also conceivable that he takes a break for a year before making a comeback to play for the squad that selects Bronny.
Evidently though is that James’ NBA era is nearly coming to an end and he could retire at 40. This means he has two more seasons to go with the Lakers.

LeBron James joined the NBA in 2003. The Cleveland Cavaliers which is his home team picked him with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft. The all-time NBA scorer made history by setting a record for the most points scored by a prep-to-pro player in his first game.
He scored 25 points against the Sacramento Kings in his first regular season game. which earned him recognition as the first Cavalier to win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award at the end of the 2003–2004 campaign.
Further, the Lakers star became the third player in the NBA league history to average at least 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists a game as a rookie. His final averages of 20.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game lit hope for the Cavaliers.
For four seasons – from 2004 to 2008 – James rose in player rank to become the most popular player for Cleveland Cavaliers. He James was chosen for his first NBA All-Star Game in the 2004–2005 season after leading the Eastern Conference to a victory with 13 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists. Notably, he was only 20 years old at the time.
James was awarded the NBA All-Star Game’s Most Valuable Player in 2006 after leading the East to victory with 29 points. He also won the All-Star Game MVP award for the second time in February of the 2007–2008 season after posting a 27–point, 8–rebound, and 9–assist performance.

WHICH NBA CLUBS HAS LEBRON JAMES PLAYED FOR?
The Cleveland Cavaliers draft in 2003 gave LeBron James seven years of building a brand. He left the club in 2010 for Miami Heat where he played for four seasons – until 2014. However, he recalls making this move threw him to the wrong end of the stick as NBA enthusiasts treated him and Miami Heat as Villains.
It was his hardest moment as hostility from every corner drained him. James acknowledged that the continual criticism directed at the squad made him play more angrily.
He played his first game against the Cavaliers since leaving the club in 2011 and Miami won after he scored 38 points. But, he was jeered each time he touched the ball. In a twist of events, he returned to Cleveland between at the start of the 2015 season and left in 2018 when he signed with LA Lakers.
It is at the Lakers that he surpassed Kareem Abdul Jabbar’s record to become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer and it is a huge feat for him.
