Baye was born on April 18 1988 to his parents in Dakar, Senegal. His father was a bus driver in Senegal, and he has five brothers and two sisters. One of his brothers is also a professional football player-Oumar Niasse.
He was brought up in a very humble background where getting a meal was a real struggle for the parents but that did not hinder his dream of becoming a reknown football player.

Career
Born in Senegal, Baye Ibrahima Niasse began his football career with his hometown club US Ouakam. He moved to Switzerland at a tender age where he joined Neuchatel Xamax. At the club, he played 64 League games.
In 2013, Baye left fellow Azerbaijan Premier League Inter Baku to Gabala where he signed a one year contract. He made his debut for the club in a match over FK Baku winning 2 goals against one. He scored his first goal for the club in a second match against Inter Baku.
After his one year contract at Gabala, he went on trial with club Mordovia Saransk, being managed by his former manager at Gabala and signed a two year contract in 2014. He left the club after one year in 2015 on a mutual consent.
Niasse stayed for six months without joining a club later signing in with Concordia Chiajna in 2016. After the expiry of his contract in the club, he signed with Indian Super League Delhi Dynamos.

Three months later, he moved to Levadiakos after signing a season and a half contract.
