Ahmed Musa was born On October 14 1992 to his parents Alhaji Musa and Sarah Moses. His father was a Muslim originally from the Northern Nigeria state of Borno, while his mother, who was the second wife is a Christian from Edo state.

Following the untimely death of Musa’s father when growing up, he along with his four older sisters were raised by their mother.

Musa lived with his family in Jos, Nigeria a mansion that he spent millions on before he was forced to move out by robbers who had an aim of kidnapping his wife and child for ransom, prompting him to move out for security.

Musa has been married to three wives, Jamila, Juliet Ejue and his third wife whose name is unknown. Currently, he has four children, two with his first wife and two with his second. However, it is not clear if the children stay together in Musa’s house or separately with their mothers.

He helped build a Sports Complex in Kano as a way of giving back to the community and is a practicing Muslim.

Career

Musa began his career at the GBS Football Academy, being loaned to JUTH F.C and subsequently was loaned to Kano Pillars F.C.

He was transferred to VVV-Venlo however, his move was held up due to his age which was under in accordance to FIFA rules. He turned 18 years becoming eligible to play for VVV-Venlo, playing at the 2021 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Colombia.

Russian side CSKA Moscow signed him for an undisclosed fee, playing for the club at the UEFA champions League.

Two years later, he joined Leicester City for a club record of $20.9 million where it all went on loses as he didn’t score any goal.

He returned to CSKA Moscow after leaving Leicester City, on loan. It was not long before he left CSKA to join Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr on a permanent deal and in 2021, he rejoined Kano Pillars.

Ahmed has played for his Nigeria team on several occasions even helping the team win in the 2010 WAFU Nations Cup held in South Africa.

At 17 years, Musa made a debut for the Nigeria senior national team in a qualification match for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Musa was also in the squad that represented the U-20 football team in the 2011 African Youth Championship.
