Lookman made his first appearance in the Europa League where he played a match against MFK Ruzomberok, taking a win. He left on a loan to Championship Club Derby County, the team hoping he would play regular first-team football though he insisted on a move to joining Bundesliga club RB Leipzig, on a five-year contract.
A few months later, he joined Premier League side Fulham on a long-season loan. At Fulham, he played and scored his first League goal in a match against Sheffield United.
