Thorgan Hazard began playing football at a very young age. He spent his youth career days at Royal Stade Brainois, AFC Tubize and Lens.
Thorgan began his professional career at Lens in Ligue 1, signing a three-year deal on 7 April 2010. He made his professional debut for Lens in their first match of the 2011-12 season. He played 14 league games that season and then secured a transfer to Chelsea in the summer of 2012.

Thorgan left Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer of 2019, signing a five-year deal with Borussia Dortmund. He was part of the team that won the DFB-Pokal during the 2020-21 season. The Belgian attacking midfielder was loaned to PSV Eindhoven in January 2023.
On international level, Thorgan has represented Belgium at under-16, under-17 and under-18. He earned his first senior international cap in May 2013 as Belgium faced the United States.
