With Southampton on the verge of relegation from the Premier League, James Ward-Prowse is ready to depart in the summer transfer window.
The Saints are bottom of the table with only 23 points from 31 games and are four points from safety after winning only one of their previous eight league games.
Though relegation to the Championship is far from guaranteed, it is becoming more likely by the week.
According to 90min, a number of key players, including Kyle Walker-Peters, Mohammed Salisu, Armel Bella-Kotchap, and Romeo Lavia, are anticipated to quit St. Mary’s if the team is defeated.
England international and set-piece extraordinaire Ward-Prowse is also prepared to part ways with the club he has represented since the age of eight.

SportsLeounderstands that Southampton will demand around £50m for their club captain, who is the subject of interest from several top-flight sides.
Ward-Prowse is a favourite of Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe and sporting director Dan Ashworth. The Magpies are being kept up to date on the player’s condition on the south coast, but their summer business is dependent on their final standings place – Newcastle currently sits fourth and are on course to qualify for the Champions League.

Manchester United believe Ward-Prowse can help them with their midfield issues, and Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur are also fans of the 28-year-old.
Ward-Prowse is one goal away from matching David Beckham’s Premier League record of 18.
He has scored seven goals and laid on two assists in 31 league games for Southampton so far this season.
