- Liverpool are preparing for what is seeming to be a busy summer transfer window with players leaving and joining
- The Reds are preparing to release some of its players and also bringing on board some new faces
- One target is Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount whose contract talks at Chelsea has stalled
Liverpool are ready for a busy off-season, with Jurgen Klopp and the club’s management reportedly wanting a roster makeover starting with a long-term target Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
One of the most important areas to improve is their midfield choices, which will lead to linkages to a variety of players.
Last week, it was claimed that Liverpool had withdrawn from the race to sign Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.
According to The Guardian, Liverpool will step up their efforts to recruit Mason Mount, despite a lack of progress in negotiations between the midfielder and Chelsea.
Given Dortmund’s asking price, the Reds have moved on from Bellingham, with Mount in their sights as he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Mount has given no indication that he would extend his contract with Chelsea, with Liverpool ready to capitalize and bring the 24-year-old England international to Anfield.
