Meanwhile, things are also tense on the relegation zone. Southampton, who salvaged a point against Arsenal on Friday, are rock-bottom with 24 points. Leicester City and Nottingham Forest, who have matches today, are also in the danger of relegation.

How Many Premier League Games Are Remaining?

Premier League seasons typically run from August to May with each team playing 38 matches (playing all other teams both home and away). As of now, there are less than 10 games left to go. Teams like Arsenal and Southampton have already played 32 matches, which means they have six more games left.

However, most of the teams have played 31 matches. Brighton have played the least games this season – 29. They will be facing Manchester United on Sunday in FA Cup semi-finals. Their next Premier League fixture will be against Nottingham Forest on 26 April.

Who Is Most Likely To Win The Premier League?

With a few games remaining before the end of the 2022-23 Premier League season, everybody is interested in knowing who will win the title.

Manchester City claimed the 2021-22 Premier League title on the final day, finishing one point ahead of Liverpool. This season, their toughest opponent have been Arsenal, who are currently five points above them. But with two games in hand, Manchester City could go above Arsenal if they win both matches.

According to Squawka, Manchester City have a 66.86% chance of winning the Premier League. Arsenal, on the other hand, have a 33.14% chance. Other top teams like Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United and Liverpool have 0% chance of winning this season’s title.

The last five Premier League titles have been shared between Manchester City and Liverpool, with the former winning four. The Cytizens are seeking to become only the second team in the Premier League era to three-peat.

Following a 3-1 win over Leeds after the World Cup, Manchester City blew hot and cold for a while. The Cytizens dropped points against Everton and Nottingham Forest and defeats against Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

However, they have been perfect since the 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest two months ago. The Cytizens have won six games in a row and are likely to maintain their form. If they win all their remaining eight Premier League games, there is nothing that Arsenal can do to stop them from winning a third consecutive league title.

Have Arsenal Handed The Premier League Title Advantage To Manchester City?

After a nerve-shredding night at the Emirates Stadium on Friday, most football fans were left thinking that Arsenal have handed the Premier League title advantage to Manchester City. Arsenal drew 3-3 with Southampton, thanks to late strikes from Martin Odegaard and Bukayo Saka when they were 3-1 down.

For a third successive game, Arsenal were found wanting. Up next in the Premier League? Manchester City on Wednesday. If the Gunners are to win this title, they have to beat Manchester City at Etihad.

Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus believes that they still have a chance of winning the title. Speaking after the 3-3 draw with Southampton, Gabriel Jesus said that Arsenal are still in a good position.

A lot of things are going on now. We don’t want to come here and talk negatively because we are in a very good position. What we are doing this season is amazing – the Premier League is tough. Now is the difficult moment. It is time now to stick together until the end. We still have a lot of things to do this season, it is not over, we are still five points clear.” BBC Sports quotes Gabriel Jesus.
