Christopher Keith Irvine, popularly known as Chris Jericho, was born on 9 November 1970 in New York, U.S. He grew up watching wrestling matches on television. His childhood idols were Owen Hart, Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat and Shawn Michaels.

Jericho spent the early years of his career wrestling for several promotions, including Canadian National Wrestling Alliance (CNWA), Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Genichiro Tenryu’s Wrestling.
