Bayern Munich fined the highest amount in its history

Bayern is now looking at selling him in the summer
Bayern Munich fined Sadio Mane $321,661(£260 000) after punching fellow team-mate Leroy Sane last week at Etihad Stadium in addition to plans of selling him this summer.
Mane and Sane had an ugly confrontation after Bayern lost 0-3 to Manchester City last week. The heated confrontation in the dressing room forced other club members to intervene after Mane punched Sane.
The latter was left with a swollen lip as a result of the punch while Mane was kept out of Bayern’s Bundesliga match against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
Besides the fine and subsequent match ban, the Senegalese had some of his wages that make up his £17 million annual salary ($21 million) docked.
According to Sky Germany, this is the biggest fine ever levelled on its player.

“According to our information, it is an amount that goes far beyond €300,000 (£260,000), so it’s a very, very sensitive fine for Mane,” Florian Plettenberg who works as a football expert for Bayern told the German-based London media.
Mane was a no-show for Bayern’s 1-1 draw at home against Hoffenheim. It was the second victory for Bayern under new manager Thomas Tuchel who has officiated five games now after taking over from Julian Nagelsmann in March 2023.
Tuchel, a former Chelsea manager has announced that Mane will be back in action for Bayern’s rematch with City on Wednesday, as the club seeks a spectacular turnaround to get to the semi-finals.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola indicated that the confrontation between Mane and Sane could hold Bayern together and give them an extra edge.
However, the former Liverpool player only came off the bench in the first leg, and it appears Tuchel is not one of his big fans.
Mane is far from likely to start at Munich, and his days at the club could be numbered less than a year after joining, according to Plettenberg.
He claims that the Bundesliga giants are already ready to trade him, especially after the incident with Sane in the dressing room.
From what I’m hearing, Bayern will try everything to offload Sadio Mane in the summer. From a sporting point of view, Thomas Tuchel has no plans with Mane as he doesn’t fit his system. This is my information. The player is seen very critically internally,” Plettenberg stated.
After a promising start in which he scored on his Bundesliga debut, Mane’s first year in Germany has been nothing short of a disaster.

The 31-year-old has been shuffled between playing up front and on the left wing without establishing himself in either position.
He has failed to score for Bayern since his return and has been frequently benched for crucial games, including the humiliating loss against City.
Time is running out for him to prove that he has a future at Bayern, with the squad having only six more league games remaining and on the verge of relegation.
