- Premier League side Chelsea has been struggling to score goals for a bigger part of the campaign
- The Blues will try to make an attempt of signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic next summer
- Chelsea lacks a single true striker at the club with Kai Havertz always playing upfront
After a difficult season for the Blues in front of goal, Chelsea will allegedly attempt at signing Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic at the end of the season.
Chelsea is currently ranked 14th overall and has the lowest goal total of any team in the top 11 after 24 Premier League games. They have only tallied 23 goals overall.
Due to the lack of a genuine number nine and the uncertainty surrounding Romelu Lukaku’s return from his Inter loan after this season, Chelsea has been closely monitoring Vlahovic.
The 23-year-first old’s complete season in Italy has been interrupted by injuries; he has eight goals in 15 Serie A appearances since moving to Turin for a €70 million fee in January 2022.

Although Massimiliano Allegri’s team would probably prefer to keep using the tall frontman, who has already scored 10 goals for Serbia in senior international competition in 19 appearances, the club’s financial situation may compel them to change.
Football Insider claims that Chelsea is “desperate” to bring in a true attacker and that Vlahovic is one of their top three targets in Serie A.
Tammy Abraham of Roma is reportedly being considered for a return to Stamford Bridge, and Chelsea will also check on the availability of Victor Osimhen of Napoli, who is regarded as an unrealistic alternative.
Vlahovic is one of the players Juventus might make available at the conclusion of the season as they work to recover from their financial unpredictability, the report continues.
According to The Times, Chelsea has rekindled its interest in RB Leipzig’s 21-year-old centre-back Josko Gvardiol. They are expecting to sign him for a sum less than the £97 million (€110 million) release clause that will go into effect in 2024.
Express reports that 24-year-old Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar will join Eintracht Frankfurt on a free transfer when his contract ends in July rather than Manchester United.
