Career

Cameron Norrie represented New Zealand as a junior. He peaked at No. 10 in the ITF world junior rankings in 2013. Young Norrie won five ITF titles as a junior, including the New Zealand 18 & Under Summer Championships in 2012 and 2013 and the Grade 1 Mitsubishi-Lancer International Junior Championships in 2013.

Cameron Norrie went to Texas Christian University where he played collegiate tennis. During his time at TCU, he became the first student from the college to be ranked as No. 1 male college tennis player in the United States.

Norrie decided to turn professional in 2017 and had to wait for four years before winning his first singles title –  the 2021 Los Cabos Open. He won his second title at Indian Wells that same year, eventually making his top 20 debut. 2021 was his breakout season as he made his debut in the ATP Finals, replacing Stefanos Tsitsipas.

The following year, Norrie took his tally of titles to four after winning in Lyon and Delray Beach. The Brit’s latest title win was in Rio a few weeks ago.
