Lewis Hamilton celebrates Angela Cullen as she leaves him

Angela Cullen has left her role as a physiotherapist and assistant to Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton.

Cullen impressively executed her roles in her two duties to Hamilton for the last seven years.

The seven-time Mercedes driver broke the news on her socials on Friday. He praised Cullen for unleashing the potential in him.

Even as she exits this role, she has left an indelible mark of success in Hamilton’s life.

“For the last seven years Angela has been by my side, pushing me to be the best version of myself. I am a stronger athlete and a better person because of her. So today I hope you’ll join me in wishing her the very best as she takes her next steps to pursue her dreams. Thank you for everything Ang, I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you,” wrote Hamilton.

They both have “loyalty” tattoos that match. Cullen has established a reputation for being one of Hamilton’s most trusted and significant confidants.

She was one of the best things that ever happened to Hamilton, who earlier said that it’s difficult for people to understand how important their friendship is because all they see from a distance is not enough.

The British F1 driver said that Cullen stands out in many ways and that she is the hardest-working woman he ever met in his life.

“She’s focused, selfless, and she makes my weekends peaceful. Every day I wake up, whatever time it is, she’s just positive – never a single day has she been negative, so that’s very, very important,” he said according to Crash.net.

Hamilton says that Cullen in executing his role as an assistant and physiotherapist taught him the value of having positivity around him. Cullens positivity inspired him in a big way.

She leaves amid tough times for Hamilton as he grapples with structural challenges in his W14.

Meanwhile, Hamilton together with a host of other Formula One drivers have expressed their discomfort with racing in the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Rebels from Yemeni launched a missile attack on an oil refinery close to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix circuit in the capital, Jeddah in 2022.

Hamilton was at first coy about speaking on the whole subject but added that F1 had a role in creating awareness and addressing issues of human rights.

Speaking at a news conference on Thursday, he said that though he is uncomfortable racing in Saudi Arabia, he is alive to the fact that if he declined, others would be willing.

He maintained that he feels that F1 is duty-bound to create awareness of human rights since Saudi has a tainted history of this.

Authorities in Saudi Arabia and F1 executives have assured the drivers that there are measures in place to ensure that the 2023 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is not disrupted in a similar fashion.

Further, Saudi authorities also assured that the safety of all F1 drivers is of top priority. This follows reports that Saudi Arabia and Yemeni rebels, the Houthi group have reached a cease-fire.
