Telles played 36 league games for Gremio before joining Turkish club Galatasary in January 2014. He won the Super Lig, Turkish Super Cup and Turkish Cup twice before going to Inter Milan on loan in the summer of 2015.

FC Porto signed Telles in July 2016 for 6.5 million Euros. During his time with the Portuguese side, he won the Primeira Liga twice, Taca de Portugal and Supertaca Candido de Oliveira.
