The 45-year-old appeared in 10 Super Bowls, four more than any other player, during his legendary career. Now without further ado, let’s look at nine interesting facts about Tom Brady you probably didn’t know about.
1. He Didn’t Train Like Most Athletes
Tom Brady is undoubtedly one of the greatest athletes of all time, but unlike other football players, he avoids traditional weightlifting. The American instead opts for resistance bands so as to increase flexibility and pliability. He believes having long and soft muscles is the key to peak performance.
2. Played Golf As A Boy
Most people know that Tom Brady played football and baseball in high school. However, few people know that the NFL legend was a good golfer when he was a small boy.
3. He Follows A Sleeping Routine
Tom Brady is a man of discipline and this can be shown by how he follows his sleep routine. The NFL legend goes to bed by 9 pm and wakes up as early as 6 am.
4. Has Been Friends With Two Presidents
Tom Brady attended the state of the union address as a guest of then-president George W. Bush, as per reports. He also has a close relationship with former president Donald Trump. Brady called Trump in 2016 and told him that he had voted for him.
5. He Is A Father Of Three
One of the facts about Tom Brady is that he is a father of three. He had his first child, John Edward Thomas Moynahan, with actress Bridget Moynahan in August 2007. Tom and Bridget dated from 2004 until late 2006.
He then had two children with his ex-wife, Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen. Brady and Gisele announced in October 2022 that they had decided to part ways after 13 years of marriage.

6. His Sisters Are Outstanding Athletes
You can’t talk about Tom Brady facts and fail to mention his family’s love for sports. Before Tom became famous, many people referred to him using his siblings’ names. Some called him ‘Maureen’s little brother’ while some called him ‘the little Brady’.
His sisters earned scholarships to college because of sports. Maureen went to Fresno State on a softball scholarship, whereas Julie got recruited to the St. Mary’s soccer team then later earned a scholarship.
Nancy chose to follow a different path despite being eligible for a softball scholarship. Tom Brady’s niece, Maya Brady, plays softball for the UCLA Bruins.
7. Follows Strict Diet
Tom Brady and his family have a strict diet plan to which they adhere. The diet plan is known as “TB12 Method” and varies from one season to another.
Brady follows the 80/20 rule whereby he consumes 80 per cent alkaline components and 20 per cent acidic components. His diet is mostly vegan but he also adds meats when it’s cold.
Some of the things he avoids taking include white sugar, white rice, bread, potatoes, soda, flour, eggplants, coffee, tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms and most fruits.
8. Runs A Vegan Snacks Business
Tom Brady launched the website TB12Sports.com, which features information on his diet and training regimen. The brand then expanded to offer a snack line which contains vegan and organic ingredients free of dairy and gluten.
9. One Pair Of Shoulder Pads Since 1995
One of the interesting facts about Tom Brady is that he has had the same shoulder pads throughout the years. He first put on the shoulder pads in 1995 when making his Michigan debut.
