Known for his eye for goal, Crouch was one of the best strikers during his prime days. The 41-year-old is one of the 33 players who scored 100 or more Premier League goals.

Despite being a good goalscorer, Peter Crouch occasionally faced criticism due to his movement, lack of power and athleticism.

Peter Crouch also played for the England national team, making 42 appearances between 2005 and 2010. He represented England at the 2006 and 2010 World Cup tournaments.

By the time Crouch retired from international football, he had scored 22 goals for the Three Lions.

But as he developed over the years, Crouch began scoring aerial balls. He currently holds the record for the most headed goals in Premier League history.

How Many Teams Did Peter Crouch Play For? 

Besides his towering height, football fans also remember Peter Crouch as a player who moved from one team to another. The legendary striker played for more than ten teams in his professional football career.

Crouch began his football journey at Northolt Hotspurs when he was still a small boy. He later joined Brentford, where he spent two years, and then moved to Queens Park Rangers.

The young skinny player joined Tottenham Hotspur in 1995 and spent three years at the club’s academy before being loaned out to Dulwich Hamlet in 2000.

He made six appearances with the English club and then was loaned out to Swedish club IFK Hassleholm.

Crouch returned to Tottenham Hotspur but never made any senior appearance for the London club until he was sold to his boyhood club Queens Park Rangers.

He impressed in his first season, scoring ten goals. However, Crouch’s efforts were not enough to save QPR from avoiding relegation.

The England international joined Portsmouth the following season and scored 18 goals in 37 matches.

Aston Villa signed Peter Crouch from Portsmouth in March 2002 for five million euros. He scored in his home debut and found the back of the net twice that season.

However, the tall striker struggled for playing time at Aston Villa the following season and was loaned out to Norwich City.

At the end of his loan period, Peter Crouch returned to Aston Villa, who sold him to Southampton for 2.5 million euros.

Crouch was a key player in Southampton’s squad, scoring crucial goals as the team battled relegation. His impressive performance at Southampton earned him his first call to the England national team.

The talented striker joined Liverpool in July 2005 after the Saints were relegated. Crouch came under intense criticism in his first four months at Liverpool as he failed to score.

During his three years with the Reds, Crouch managed 22 goals in 85 league games. He returned to Portsmouth in 2005 and scored 11 goals in 38 games. 

The England international played two seasons for Tottenham Hotspur and then secured a transfer to Stoke City, where he spent eight years.

The last team Peter Crouch played for was Burnley, after which he announced his retirement from professional football.
