The Portugal international has been a free agent since leaving the Red Devils following a controversial interview with Piers Morgan.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been offered a contract with over 199 million euros per year, which is the biggest football salary in history. The salary includes commercial deals.

Ronaldo has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with Al Nassr.

Nine-time Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr described the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo as history in the making.

“History in the making. This is a signing that will not only inspire our club to achieve even greater success but inspire our league, our nation and future generations, boys and girls, to be the best version of themselves.” Al Nassr’s statement after Cristiano Ronaldo joined the club.

Cristiano Ronaldo, on the other hand, is thrilled to be going to experience a new challenge in a new league.

“I’m thrilled for a new experience in a different league and a different country, the vision that Al Nassr has is very inspiring. I’m excited to join my teammates, and to help the team to achieve more success.” Cristiano Ronaldo said after joining Al Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo joins the Saudi club several days after revealing that he turned down a 3o5 million euros deal from another Saudi club (Al Hilal) last summer.

The Portugal international still had seven months remaining in his contract with Manchester United when he unceremoniously left the team.

Ronaldo claimed that he has no respect for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag because he also doesn’t respect him.

The 37-year-old also had a dig at the club owners and some of its legends, including Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville.

Cristiano Ronaldo received a two-match ban for knocking a phone out of an Everton fan’s hand in Manchester United’s shocking defeat at Goodison Park.

He will serve the ban at Al Nassr before making his debut for the team. But the ban does not apply at continental club level, such as Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo arrives in Saudi Arabia after a successful career in Portugal, England, Spain and Italy.

The five-time Ballon-d’Or winner boasts two La Liga titles, four Champions League titles, two Spanish Cups and three Club World Cups with Real Madrid. He scored a club-record 451 goals for the Real Madrid.

In his three years in Italy, Ronaldo won the Serie A title twice and the Copa Italia trophy.

His second spell with Manchester United was not as successful as the first, where he won three Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League title. He also won the FA Cup, Club World Cup and two League Cups.
