Ivanovic has had a very successful career, reaching the top spot and winning a grand slam. However, due to a multitude of reasons, she was never able to reach her full potential.

Nevertheless, her tennis career was splendid and her time on the Tour is still fondly recalled by many tennis fans. Now, she is ecstatic about her nomination for the 2023 Hall of Fame class.

Taking to her Instagram stories, she thanked all the officials for considering her for ITF. Other athletes in this nomination include Carlos Moya, Daniel Nestor, and Flavia Pennetta.

Others are Lisa Raymond, Cara Black, and Juan Carlos Ferrero. The Tennis Hall of Fame also nominated two wheelchair legends; Esther Vergeer and pioneer Rick Draney.

Tennis fans will vote for their favourite tennis player from October 20 to October 30. Only 262 tennis heroes have been inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

It’s a feat that represents the pinnacle of athletic success. Many have attained their position as a result of unmatched grit, natural skill, and athletic prowess.

The Tennis Hall of Fame induction procedure consists of seven steps. A player or contribution must be nominated before the national enshrinement committee may determine whether they are eligible for induction.

The committee considers whether the nominee will be taken into consideration by voters after determining whether they are eligible. Following evaluation, voting starts and includes both group and fan voting. A candidate must receive a combined total of 75% or more from the Official Voting Group result, or at least 75% from the Official Voting Group result.

This includes any additional percentage points they receive from the Fan Vote in order to be elected into the Hall of Fame. The United States city of Newport, Rhode Island, is home to the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

Both players and other tennis-related contributors are honoured. A museum, grass tennis courts, an indoor tennis facility, a court tennis facility, and a theatre are all part of the complex, which was formerly the Newport Casino.

The Newport Casino, which was built in 1879 by James Gordon Bennett Jr. as part of an exclusive resort for affluent Newport summer residents, houses the hall of fame and museum.

The Newport Casino hosted the inaugural championships of the United States Lawn Tennis Association in 1881. The competition continued every year through 1914, when tennis had taken over as the resort’s main draw.

The highest distinction in tennis is being admitted into the Tennis Hall of Fame. It symbolises the totality of one’s accomplishments and efforts as some of the most significant and revolutionary in tennis history.

Some of the famous tennis players inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame include Andre Agassi, Daphne Akhurst, and Wilmer Allinson.

Martina Hingis, Jean Billie King, Hellen Jacobs, Justine Henin and Harry Hopman are among those already in the Hall of Fame.
