Erling Haaland, the new golden player in the English Premier League reportedly makes up to £900,000 per week at Manchester City which is more than what Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah make together.
Borussia Dortmund paid Manchester City £63 million to sign the Norwegian this summer. Haaland was one of the best players in German Bundesliga.
Given his age and goal-scoring prowess in Germany and Austria, the agreement appears to be a steal – unless we take into account the weekly income he is taking home.
According to Spotrac, the Portuguese striker at Old Trafford earns £515,385 per week while the Egypt international makes £350,000 at Liverpool.

Haaland’s base compensation is very modest, but the add-ons bring the total to £900,000 each week, easily making him the highest-paid player in the league. Despite the enormous costs associated with getting Haaland to Etihad, he has turned out to be a wise investment.
The Norwegian international is having a blast scoring goals for his new squad, totalling 19 goals and three assists in 12 appearances across tournaments. His most recent contribution came on October 5 in the form of a brace in a 5-0 Champions League victory over FC Copenhagen.
However, the former Molde striker was replaced by Cole Palmer at halftime, prompting questions about a possible injury. The Norwegian-born footballer has his glory as a super striker for City and as a team member for Norway National Team. He is among the world’s best footballers at the moment.
On Sunday night at the Etihad Stadium, Haaland broke made history after helping City thrashed the Red Devils 6-3.
Haaland finished up his hat trick in the 64th minute, and Phil Foden followed nine minutes later with another one.
The first team that he supported was Leeds United which his father played for. However, his interests changed as he grew up and played for different teams.
At the tender age of five, he enrolled in the youth program of his local club, Bryne. While with Bryne’s second team during the 2015–16 season, he scored an impressive 18 goals in just 14 games.

Haaland, then signed with Molde as a 16-year-old on February 1, 2017. He finished as the club’s leading scorer in 2018 with 16 goals in 30 games.
Red Bull Salzburg, the reigning champions of the Austrian Bundesliga, would later announce his signing on August 19, 2018. He joined the team on a five-year contract.
He left Salzburg with 29 goals in the books after just 22 games this season. Haaland then signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with Borussia Dortmund on December 29, 2019, for €20 million ($20.3 million).
With his release clause activated for €60 million ($60 million), Manchester City signed him in May 2022. He is with City on a five-year contract.
