Legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. has revealed that he intends to fight Conor McGregor next year.
Floyd Mayweather, who retired undefeated, spoke to the Daily Mail, where he discussed the possibility of a fight between him and the UFC star.
According to Mayweather, talks are going on between his camp and Conor’s so that the terms of the fight can favour everyone.

The five-division boxing champion is not sure if his match with Conor McGregor will be an exhibition or a real fight. However, he would prefer the fight to be an exhibition.
Floyd Mayweather also told the Daily Mail that he does not want to involve himself in fights where he is going to take real punishments.
The legendary boxer does not want to put himself in any position where he will end up getting hurt in the ring. And that’s why he wants to fight guys who don’t really punch hard, like Conor McGregor and YouTuber Mikuru Asakura.
“I want to go out there this weekend and have fun. Then I have another exhibition in Dubai in November and me and Conor McGregor in 2023. We don’t know if it’s going to be an exhibition or a real fight. But there’s been talks of both. I would prefer an exhibition. I am not into fights where I am going to take any real punishment.” Mayweather told the Daily Mail.
Floyd Mayweather suggested his match with Conor take place at Allegiant Stadium, the home stadium of NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders.
The undefeated boxer intends not to earn anything less than 100 million during his fight with Conor McGregor.

After Floyd Mayweather hinted at fighting Conor McGregor during an interview, the UFC star went and posted a picture of himself and Mayweather with the caption “#not interested”.

McGregor previously hinted at making a return to professional boxing. The Irishman revealed that boxing was his first love of combat sports.
Conor McGregor, who returned to UFC after a short boxing career, has been away from the octagon ring since July 2021.
He has been missing in action because he broke his leg at the start of a trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.

Floyd Mayweather’s next opponent is Mikuru Asakura. The Japanese mixed martial artist will fight in a ring for the first time in his career.
Mikuru Asakura fights from a southpaw stance and has a boxing record of 14-3-0. His amateur career holds a record of 9-1.
Mikuru Asakura believes he will win his fight against Floyd Mayweather as that is his chance to raise his value internationally.
Mayweather’s last opponent was Don Moore in an exhibition fight.
