Daniel Sturridge was one of the big names in the English Premier League last decade. He played for Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Sturridge is the first Englishman to win a UEFA Champions League League title with two different English clubs.
The 33-year-old is currently without a club. Sturridge spent last season at Perth Glory in what turned out to be a disappointing move.
Daniel Sturridge career had him play for some of the best English Premier League teams. The England international featured for top teams such as Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool.
Daniel Sturridge is one of the few players who have won the UEFA Champions League titles with two Premier League wins. He won the title with Chelsea in 2012 and later with Liverpool in 2019.
The England international played as a winger during his early career days. He transitioned to a striker after joining Liverpool.
However, a good number of football fans do not know Sturridge’s whereabouts after he left the Premier League in 2019.

Manchester City
Daniel Sturridge began playing football in 1996 at Aston Villa’s academy, where he spent four years. Young Sturridge then moved to Coventry City academy before signing for Manchester City in 2003.
Sturridge played in two FA Youth Cup finals at Manchester City before receiving a promotion to the senior team. He played his first match for Manchester City during the 2007-08 season.
The talented attacker scored for Manchester City and became the first footballer to score in the FA Youth Cup, FA and the Premier League. He scored five goals in 21 league appearances for Manchester City between 2006 and 2009.
Chelsea
Daniel Sturridge career in football continued when he joined Chelsea from the Cytizens in 2009. As a substitute, he made his Premier League debut for Chelsea on August 18, 2009.
Sturridge scored his first league goal for Chelsea on April 25, 2010, in a 7-0 victory over Stoke City. He made his full UEFA Champions League debut on September 2010 against MSK Zilina and scored in that match.
Chelsea loaned Sturridge to Bolton Wanderers in January 2011. He impressed while on loan at Bolton, scoring eight goals in 12 appearances.
He returned to Chelsea before the start of the 2012-13 season. The England international played his last game for Chelsea in a League Cup match between Chelsea and Manchester United. He scored in the Blues’ 5-4 win over the Red Devils.
Sturridge left Chelsea after helping the London club win a Premier League title, UEFA Champions League and two FA Cups.
Liverpool
Daniel Sturridge career continued when he joined Liverpool from Chelsea for around 12 million euros on January 2, 2013. The England international had a brilliant Liverpool debut scoring his first goal for the club after just seven minutes.
Sturridge was one of Liverpool’s key players in his first seasons with the club. The forward formed a great attacking partnership with Luis Suarez at Liverpool before the latter left for FC Barcelona.

He played significant roles as Liverpool reached the finals of the UEFA Europa League and Carabao Cup during the 2015-16 season. However, the Reds finished as runner-up in both tournaments.
Daniel Sturridge career at Liverpool could later face challenges due to injuries and inconsistency. Roberto Firmino’s arrival also saw him struggle to get playing time at Anfield.
The England international spent the second half of the 2018-19 season on loan at West Bromwich Albion before returning to Liverpool.
Sturridge picked his second UEFA Champions League medal on June 1, 2021, after Liverpool defeated Tottenham Hotspurs 2-0 in the final.

Trabzonspor
The England international joined Trabzonspor two months after leaving Liverpool. He signed a three-year contract with the Turkish side.
However, Sturridge and Trabzonspor parted ways barely seven months later after scoring seven goals in sixteen games. The attacker received a four-month worldwide ban for breaching betting rules.
Perth Glory
Daniel Sturridge joined A-League side Perth Glory, in October 2021. A crowd capacity of around 17,198 fans showed up to watch Sturridge make his debut for Perth Glory on November 210, 2021.
However, Sturridge’s move to Perth Glory turned out to be a disappointment as he struggled with fitness issues. He made just six appearances for the club, starting just one game.

Sturridge and Perth Glory parted ways this summer. The 33-year-old now is yet to find a team.
