- United have spent more than two months chasing De Jong, and he is the top target for Ten Hag
- De jong is still unwilling to leave Camp Nou, but the club may be keen to offload him

According to many reports in the Netherlands, Manchester United appears to be preparing to make one more offer for Frenkie de Jong before the summer transfer window closes.
Given that Manchester United have spent more than three months trying to get the transfer over the line, but there has been no success due to the midfielder’s wish to remain at the Catalan club. It is a concept that looks pretty hard to accept. This is because the player wants to stay at Camp Nou.
Frenkie De Jong continues to play Barcelona
De Jong is still a part of Xavi’s plans. This is evidenced by the fact that the midfielder was selected to start for Sunday’s trip to Real Sociedad.
Despite this, Barcelona continues to face mounting financial challenges because the club could not register its newest addition, Jules Kounde, in time for its journey to the Basque Country.

In the past, it seemed as though the Glazers were cautious about freely spending their money.
However, considering that Erik ten Hag has asked them to strengthen the team in both a public and a private setting, it would appear that the Americans are getting ready to finance a last-minute shopping spree.
To this point, De Jong has shown little interest in moving to Manchester United from Barcelona. His unwillingness is understandable given that the Red Devils are unable to guarantee him a spot in the Champions League.

De Jong is leaving his dream at Camp Nou
The Netherlands footballer made a home for himself at the Nou Camp. Ever since he was a kid, he’s had the ambition to play for one of the powerhouses in La Liga. This has only increased his determination to remain with the club.
Van der Kraan has insinuated that United manager Ten Hag has been provided with additional transfer monies.
However, even though affording a move for De Jong has never been an issue, there is still the possibility that Barcelona will be compelled to offload the 25-year-old in order to restore financial stability in Catalonia.
It is claimed that Chelsea is also interested in signing De Jong, and the fact that the Blues can provide an opportunity to play in the Champions League gives them an advantage.
According to reports, United’s offer to purchase De Jong has reportedly been withdrawn. This implies that the club would have to potentially renegotiate a deal with Barcelona .
Marcel van der Kraan, a reporter for Dutch football, claims that United are now likely to try their luck once more for De Jong even though the odds are stacked against them.
