Mauro Icardi got involved with Wanda Nara when she was married to Maxi Lopez. The love affair between Icardi and Wanda caused an uproar among the majority of football fans who criticized the Argentine.

Mauro Icardi went ahead and married Wanda Nara after their love affair became public. The couple lives with three children from Wanda’s previous marriage. Icardi got the names of Maxi Lopez’s three children tattooed on his body. Mauro Icardi made Wanda Nara his agent.

2. Michael Ballack and Christian Lell

Michael Ballack is widely regarded as one of the best German players of all time. The legendary footballer had a good reputation on the pitch. Unfortunately, Ballack could not maintain his good reputation off the pitch. 

Michael Ballack and Christian Lell were teammates at Bayern Munich and the German national team. Christian Lell fell out with Ballack after finding out he had an affair with his wife. 

Daniella Aumann, Lell’s wife, cheated on her husband when he was Ballack’s teammate at Bayern. During an interview with Xpress, Lell accused Michael Ballack of entering people’s lives and ruining without a second thought. 

“Ballack enters other people’s private lives and ruins them without further thought. But maybe that’s how you think when you are the Germany captain.”

3. John Terry and Wayne Bridge 

John Terry is another player who had a good reputation on the pitch but couldn’t maintain the same away from the pitch. The former Chelsea captain is one of the most controversial England footballers. 

John Terry and Wayne Bridge’s fallout caused huge controversy in the Premier League in the early 2010s. Rumours spread that John Terry and Vanessa Perroncel, Wayne Bridge’s ex-girlfriend, had an affair. The affair happened after Wayne Bridge and Vanessa Perroncel parted ways. 

The former England captain and Vanessa denied the allegations when media outlets interviewed them. The media kept following the scandal until John Terry went to court to get an injunction order. However, the court did not make a ruling in favour of John Terry. 

Wayne Bridge was upset with the reports and refused to shake John Terry’s hand during a Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester City in February 2010. Wayne again refused to shake hands with Terry in April 2011 before a game when he was playing for West Ham.  

4. Kevin De Bruyne and Thibaut Courtois 

Thibaut Courtois and Kevin De Bruyne are part of Belgium’s golden generation. However, the two are just teammates and not friends.

The relationship between Courtois and De Bruyne suffered a setback in 2014 when the midfielder’s ex-girlfriend had an affair with the Real Madrid goalkeeper.

Caroline Lijnen, De Bruyne’s ex-girlfriend told Tribuna magazine that she had an affair with Courtois after De Bruyne cheated on her with her best friend. She even made things worse by saying that she found comfort in Courtois’ arms.
