  • The transfer period is when teams get the chance to sell and buy players. There are only two transfer windows in a year – summer and winter.
  • Top teams splash a lot of money on players they believe can strengthen their squads.
  • However, there are some who wait for the transfer period to generate cash through the sale of their key players.

The transfer period is the time when teams can buy and sell players. Many teams focus on buying and not selling their stars. The teams with the highest transfer income have sold some of the most valuable players in history.

Some teams are known to make high-quality players and then release them to other elite teams in Europe. Borussia Dortmund is a perfect example of a team which makes top footballers and sells them to generate funds.
