1. David De Gea

Manchester United suffered a 4-0 humiliation to Brentford in their away fixture last weekend. The Red Devils were thrashed 4-0 at the Brentford Community Stadium. 

Manchester United fans were not happy with the performance exhibited by their players. David De Gea is one of the players to blame for Manchester United’s humiliation. De Gea was a shadow of his real self during the match. 

In the tenth minute, the 31-year-old goalkeeper failed to keep out an ordinary strike from outside the box. He could have done better to keep the four goals away from his net. 

David De Gea apologized to the Red Devils fans in a post-match interview after the horrible performance.

2. Darwin Nunez

Liverpool has not had a win in their past two Premier League fixtures. The Reds drew 2-2 in their opening match and were optimistic that they were going to beat Crystal Palace at Anfield. However, things didn’t work out as the game ended 1-1.

Darwin Nunez played a big role in Liverpool’s draw at Anfield. The referee showed the Uruguayan international a straight red card in the 57th minute. This means that Liverpool had to play the rest of the match with ten men on the pitch.

After appearing to headbutt Crystal Palace’s defender Joachim Anderson, Nunez received a red card. Liverpool is now tenth on the Premier League table. 

3. Declan Rice

Declan Rice is among the best holding midfielders in Europe. However, he was not at his best in-game week two as West Ham played Nottingham Forest.

Declan Rice received a yellow card for fouling Nottingham Forest’s Jesse Lingard in the ninth minute. His evening worsened when he failed to equalize for West Ham through a penalty kick in the 65th minute. The Hammers lost the match 1-0 to newly promoted Nottingham Forest. 

West Ham is yet to collect a point this season as they also lost their first match of the season 2-0 to Manchester City. 

4. Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes is undoubtedly one of the best attacking midfielders in the English Premier League. The Portuguese international was among players with poor performance in game week two. 

Bruno Fernandes showed no creativity during the match against Brentford. He couldn’t get passes into the box for Cristiano Ronaldo to score. 

Bruno, who played as a number 10, was a disappointment to his attacking teammates on Saturday at the Brentford Community Stadium. The former Sporting Lisbon star received a yellow card in added time for pushing Rico Henry. 

5. Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford has not been at his best in recent seasons. The Manchester United star has been struggling on the pitch since the 2020-21 season. He is yet to prove that he is still among the best attackers in Europe. Marcus missed several clear chances as Manchester United played Brighton on matchday one. 

Marcus Rashford was a disappointment to his teammates last weekend. The England international performance was far from adequate as Manchester United played Brentford. He couldn’t dribble past the opposition defenders and create chances for his teammates. 

Rashford received a yellow card in the 89th minute for fouling Shandon Baptiste of Brentford. Pundit Craig Burley described Rashford’s performance in game week two as a disgrace to himself and his teammates.
