Chelsea is looking into a deal for Marc Cucurella after Man city has reportedly walked away
Negotiations with City have stalled due to Brighton’s left-back £50 million purchase price.
Reports claim Chelsea has now expressed interest in the Spaniard.
Brighton wants £50 million, but City are sure they won’t pay that much. As a result, it has led to a standstill for the Spaniard. Cucurella appears destined to last beyond the start of next season and the final days of the transfer window.
Brighton is thought to be frustrated with how the negotiations have gone so far after City made an offer of about £35 million for the 26-year-old.

This has allowed for competing offers, and the Blues are now keen on player who captured everyone’s attention during his first Premier League season last year.
Cucurella, is believed to have been very eager to play for Manchester City, therefore if a deal can be reached, Guardiola will need to make a better offer.
Kyle Walker and Cancelo and are the only experienced full-backs available to Guardiola for the upcoming season. This, has left Man City severely understaffed in that position.
Both players played in Saturday’s Community Shield loss by City to Liverpool of 3-1. Only Rico Lewis and Josh Wilson-Esbrand to provide full-back coverage.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, who made 28 appearances at Etihadi across all competitions the previous season, left the City in July to noin the Gunners
Jules Kounde as well as Raphinha, were two of Chelsea’s top targets this summer, decided to join Barcelona after the Spanish giants c made a late bid for them. As a result, Chelsea has failed to finalise transfers for both players.
It appears like new Blues owner Todd Boehly is eager to draw lessons from the choppy transfer market and borrow a page from Barcelona’s playbook by interfering with Man City’s chase of the Brighton left-back.
Cucurella made 38 appearances across all competitions last campaign, helping Brighton to ninth place in the Premier League by scoring one goal and providing two assists.
Virgil van Dijk gives advice to Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland has been adviced to shut off outside sounds by Virgil van Dijk.
Dijk believes the Norwegian will succeed in the Premier League.
Haaland’s Premier League debut for the Cityzens against Liverpool in the Community Shield was frustrating. The Norwegian only completed six passes, and his last-ditch attempt from six yards hit the top of the crossbar.
The same advice that Van Dijk provided to his own recent recruit Darwin Nunez was that it will be incredibly difficult for Premier League defences to silence Haaland for very long.
