The trial of ex-Manchester United star Ryan Giggs heard that he wanted ‘bedroom marathon’ all the time and cheated on ex-girlfriend Kate Greville eight times.

The 48-year-old ex-Wales manager is charged with assault by causing actual bodily harm and controlling behaviour towards Greville from 2017 until their breakup in 2020.

He is also charged with assaulting Emma Greville, her sister-in-law. His seven-year relationship with Kate Greville was described as “toxic” and “turbulent” in court in Manchester.

The jury has heard that Kate Greville accused Giggs of various things, including physically throwing her out of their home and threatening to send personal images of her to her acquaintances.

The court heard that Greville and her younger sister Emma were assaulted in November 2020 after an altercation at their home in Worsley, Greater Manchester.

Kate, 37, claims that Giggs headbutted her in the face. Emma, 25, claims that she was elbowed in the jaw while attempting to get the former Wales manager off of her.

Giggs, who has denied any wrongdoing, played for Manchester United for 13 seasons and won 13 Premier League championships, 2 Champions Leagues, 4 FA Cups, and 3 League Cups.

He also earned 64 caps for Wales. Aside from that, he is a co-owner of the Salford City football team, which play in League Two.

HEADBUTT WILL RUIN ME!

In the ongoing case, Kate Greville told the court that Ryan Giggs headbutted her and then expressed that this would ruin him.

He held her by the shoulder, gave her a sharp look and went on to headbutt her in November 2020. She was packing up ready to leave their house when Giggs entered and became so furious.

WAS ADDICTED TO BEDROOM MARATHON

Giggs want to hit the cookie always, Greville told the police in an interview but never himself on her. He randomly sent raunchy texts or photographs and would visit her at home and enjoy it.

She feels this is all Giggs wanted because he gave her little attention after getting it.

COMPARISON WITH EX-WIFE

Greville said Giggs often compared her to his ex-wife Stacey Cooke. The court heard that in 2013, the couple met when Greville’s PR business began working with Giggs on his hotel and restaurant projects as a client.

The ex-footballer always felt Greville was as controlling as Stacey was.

The court heard that Greville developed extreme anxiety a year into her relationship with Giggs. She told police officers Giggs would be sweet and abusive to her and make promises they could live together and create a family.

But, it was like Giggs had two personalities which triggered her anxiety.

ADULTERY

In court, it was revealed that Giggs sent a photo of him without clothes to a married woman. This was before she argued with him for being on his phone for 20 minutes during dinner.

It was the woman’s husband who sent Greville an anonymous email picture of Ryan, a picture of Giggs without clothes. He said that he noticed the photo on his wife’s phone.

HE BLACKMAILED HER A LOT

In court, Greville testified that throughout her employment with Giggs, he sent her letters telling her she could no longer work for him. He threatened her if she did not respond.

RYAN GIGGS DATED EIGHT MORE WOMEN

She uncovered Ryan Giggs’s infidelity with eight other women while browsing through his iPad, the court heard. What she found on that iPad was far worse than she could have ever imagined.

Sadly, he was with all these other women while seeing her, yet she was a committed partner.  He travelled to Barcelona and Russia with two of the eight women.

HE BATTERED HER SEVERALLY

Sometime back, the former Wales player tripped in a hotel room and grabbed her hard by the wrists. He dragged her across the floor, and her towel came off. He threw her in the hallway marking the first incident of violence that continued severally.

Greville felt ashamed since she was in her birthday suit and her belongings thrown out by Giggs.
