Atletico Madrid is the most recent team to be connected with a bid for Ronaldo after the 37-year-old stunned Manchester United to its very core by requesting a transfer last month.

Ronaldo moving to Atletico Madrid hasn’t exactly made the fans of the team thrilled since the news first surfaced.

The United star was reportedly Diego Simeone’s top target during the transfer window earlier this month. However, the club president has denied the reports that Atletico Madrid is considering signing the Soccer star.

“I don’t know who invented this story about Cristiano Ronaldo to Atletico Madrid,” he said. “It’s not true.”

Ronaldo has replied to a post that provides an update on his predicament in addition to his response to the Atletico Madrid supporters.

“It’s impossible not to talk about me one day,” he said. If not, there is no revenue for the media. You know that you cannot attract attention if you do not lie. Keep going so you can get some news one day”.

You can interpret that anyway, but one thing is sure: Only he knows what might happen to him. When the 2022/23 season starts, will he still work for United? Time will only tell.

As the Portuguese player enters his final season at Manchester United, it appears Ronaldo may soon depart Old Trafford. The Portuguese megastar is keen to play UEFA Champions League football in the upcoming months.

Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, had confrontational conversations with United executives on Tuesday morning. Ronaldo feels he still has three to four years to play at the most excellent level.

Since the 37-year-old said he wanted to leave Manchester, he has been connected with a number of major teams across the continent. But he is running out of alternatives.

Bayern Munich and now Atletico Madrid have disqualified themselves from the running to sign him.

The United star also was rejected by Chelsea and Napoli,

The Portuguese icon and agent Jorge Mendes met with club representatives and Erik ten Hag on Tuesday morning before returning to the Carrington training facility.

Sir Alex Ferguson was also seen coming. However, it’s been stated that he was present for a routine board meeting with club CEO Richard Arnold.

Ronaldo missed United’s preseason tour of Thailand and Australia owing to commitments, which the club understood, and he took a flight back to the UK on Monday.
